Hi, and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m Ifat, a behavior specialist and the founder of Everything Behavior. As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), I’ve spent over two decades working with parents, families, and schools to bring more peace, connection, and success into everyday life. My passion lies in helping children thrive while supporting the adults who care for them with practical, evidence-based strategies grounded in compassion and understanding.
So why start this blog? Because I know that parenting and teaching can sometimes feel overwhelming, confusing, or even lonely. Even with the best intentions, it can be hard to know how to respond when behaviors challenge you or emotions run high. You might find yourself trying strategy after strategy. Sometimes it helps for a while, sometimes it doesn’t. And with so many ideas and opinions online, it’s easy to feel unsure about what truly fits your child, your values, and your family.
My goal here isn’t to give you a list of “do’s and don’ts.” Instead, this space is meant to inspire reflection and offer new ways to understand behavior, to look not only at what children do, but also at the systems and environments that shape how they learn and grow. Along the way, we’ll also explore how our own behavioral patterns as adults and caregivers influence those systems, and how awareness and small shifts can create more balance and connection within the family dynamic.
In this blog, I’ll share
- Perspectives that help make sense of behavior and the emotions behind it
- Real-world reflections from my experiences with families, educators, and children
- Moments of insight to help you pause, breathe, and respond with more confidence and compassion
Whether you’re a parent navigating a tough stage, a teacher working to create systems that support students’ learning and well-being, or a professional curious about the “why” behind behavior, I hope you’ll find perspective and reassurance here.
If you ever feel that your situation needs more individualized guidance, I’m here to help. Every family has its own rhythm, values, and dynamics, and the systems or strategies that truly work are the ones that are shaped around those realities. My work with families and schools is always personalized, grounded in collaboration, and focused on creating meaningful change that fits your life, not someone else’s checklist.
This blog isn’t about perfection. It’s about awareness, growth, and learning what works best for you and the children you support.
Thank you for being here. I’m so glad we’re connected.
With care,
Ifat
